Do not say things in anger otherwise it could cost you everything.

öfkeliyken saçmalamamalısın yoksa bunun bedelini ödersin.

Exact translation:

Sinirliyken birşey söyleme, yoksa sana herşeye mal olabilir

But this usage is better:

Sinirliyken birşey söyleme, sana bazı şeyler kaybettirebilir

Would it make sense to replace "bazı şeyler" here with "herşeyi" ?

Sinirliyken birşey söyleme, sana herşeyi kaybettirebilir

Sinirliyken konuşma, yoksa her şeyine mal olabilir.

sinirli (angry)

iken (while)

konuşmak (1to talk, 2to speak)

yoksa (otherwise)

her şey (everything)

mal olmak (to cost (in bad situations))

sinirli iken ---------------------> sinirliyken (while one is angry)

konuş+ma(negative)-----------> konuşma (don´t speak)

her şey+n(possessive)----------> her şeyin (your everything)

dative case + mal olmak--------> -e mal olmak (to cause to lose something) (direct: to cost to something)

@tomac

Sinirliyken bir şey söyleme, sana her şeyi kaybettirebilir. (Don´t say anything while you are angry, it may make you lost everything/cost your everything.)

doğru yazım (correct orthograpghy) : bir şey

kayıp (lost)

etmek (to make)

kayıp etmek --> kaybetmek (to lose)

kaybet+dir(causative)+mek-->kaybettirmek (to make somebody lose)

kaybet+dir+ebil(can/may)+r(present simple)-->kaybettirebilir (it may make you lose)

her şey (everything)

bazı şeyler (some things) [plural of "something"]

Many thanks for detailed explanation, Mehmet! In original text there is "everything", so I wondered if both "bazı şeyler" and "her şeyi" make sense here.

saçmalamak (to talk nonsense, to drivel)

Your translation is exactly correct, too. Your try means: You shouldn´t talk nonsense while you are angry, otherwise you pay the penalty for this.
