So I´m never going to learn Turkish if I just ask for translations and don´t attempt myself soooo I was wondering if someone could correct my own translation in to Turkish please?

This is what I want to say in english:

I was busy yesterday because one of my best friends went back to her city. Anyway how are you? I hope that you had a good weekend. Have a good day and try not to work too hard.

Now this is my attempt in to turkish:

dün ben meşgul olmuştur. Ben en iyi arkadaşlarımdan geri onu şehre gitti. Zaten nasılsınız? Ben iyi bir hafta sonu vardı umuyoruz. İyi günler

Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Dün meşguldüm, çünkü en iyi arkadaşım memleketine geri döndü. Her neyse, nasılsın ? Umarım çok çalışmadın ve güzel bir haftasonu geçirdin.

thank you once again for your translation help. Damn I think I need to make some serious time to learn this language rather than phrase books

In the above, I had a question on this: Umarım çok çalışmadın.Why is it çalışmadın, isn´t that past tense? I didn´t understand where umarım comes from?

ummak - to hope/ to expect

um -ar -ım - the aorist form, pers. I sg (I hope)

Thanks I went to this site:

I could not find umarım but I could find umarum. Is that website wrong?
