hello good evening iyi akşamlar herkese

Today I learned the "Dilek kipi" se and sa ekler

but I was a bit confused eventhough the grammar is easy but the way we use it in sentences confused me a bit. For example

yapmak

what´s the difference between "yapsam" and "yaparsam"

the şimdiki zaman and gelecek are easy to get when we use them in sentences but the miş´li geçmis zaman "yapmışsam" is it like "if I haven´t"?

and the negative form "yapmasam" how can we use it in sentence in which case?

the question form? "yapsam mı?"

I know it´s a long question but it´s importnant I really need to learn how to use them inside sentences could anyone please make me some sentences and their equivalent in English?

thank you god bless you {#emotions_dlg.bye}

Some functions of  the suffix -sA

1. Condition

Gürültü yaparsan insanlar uyanır.

If you make noise ,people would [will] wake up.

Erken yola çıkarsan akşama eve varırsın.

If you set off early you would [will] get home tonight.

******************************************

2. Determination

No matter what happens, no matter what conditions ,

we are determined to achive or fulfil the action.

Kar da yağsa yine gelirim.

Even [if] it snows I will still come.

[I am determined to come ]

Dünya tersine dönse vazgeçmem.

Even [if] the world turns upside down, I will not give up.

3. Guess, strong guess.

Ahmet yorgun olsa gerek zira bugün kahveye gelmedi.

Ali must be tired since he didn´t come to the cafe today.

Bu camı olsa olsa Serkan kırmıştır.

Only person that broke this window must be Serkan.

4. hypothetically

Benim yerimde olsan ne yapardın ?

[Hypothetically] what would you do if you were in my place ?

5. Doubt, Fear, Worry

Ya eve hırsız girmişse !

What if a thief broke in the house ! ------> FEAR

Ya bu kış çok soğuk olursa !    --------> WORRY

What if this this winter gets very cold !

Ya bir gün hastalansam bu çocuklara kim bakar? ----> WORRY

What if  one day I get ill, who would look after these kids ?

6. threat

Ders çalışmazsan kızarım ha!

If you don´t study I will get mad at you !

Bak, söylediklerimi yapmazsan anlaşmayı bozarım !

Look, if you don´t do what I say,I will break the agreement !

7. indecisiveness

Bilmem söylesem mi, söylemesem mi?

shall I say or not, I really don´t know.

Ucuz mu satsam, pahalı mı?

shall I sell it cheap or expensive ?

8. Not to care, not to give an importance, ignore

Ne halin varsa gör !

Do what the hell you want ! [ i dont care]

Ders çalışsam ne olur çalışmasam ne olur.

What difference would that make, whether I study or not.

Ne yaparsan yap seninle ilgilenmiyorum.

Whatever you do, I don´t care.

9. wish

Keşke yarın hava güzel olsa.

I wish tomorrow the weather will be good.

what´s the difference between "yapsam" and "yaparsam"

* yapsam  can convey conditional meaning as in example below :

Yemek yapsam yer misniz ? ---> Would you eat IF I cook [meal] ?

* yapsam  can convey optative /wish meaning :

Keşke şu an orda olsam , bir kahve yapsam ve kafamı dinlesem...

I wish I was there now , making a cup coffee and chilling out....

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

* yaparsam  basically conveys  conditional meaning :

Bunu yaparsam başım belaya girer.

If I do this, I will be [get] in trouble.

yapmışsam ---> If I had done/made  can be understood in two ways :

1. Reported /Claimed conditional past [ Someone claims that I had done this]

Ona kötülük yapmışsam, neden hala benimle konuşuyor ?

If [he claimes that] I done bad thing to him, why is he still talking to me ?

In other words, someone/he/she claims that I harmed him/her, if it is so why he/she is still talking to me.

2.  because

Yapmışsam bir sebebi vardır.

I have done [this] because there is a reason [behind it]

====================================

* "yapmasam" ----> If I don´t do [this/that]  or  If I didn´t do this/that

Çay  yapmasam ayıp olur. ---> If I don´t make tea, that will be rude.

* yapmasam --> also can be used in negative optative/wish case :

Keşke bugün ev ödevi yapmasam ---> I wish I wouldn´t do homework today.
