Hi,

I have recently finished going thru a Turkish grammar teaching website, however, when I reading a story, I came across a couple of confusing patterns, at least for me. 

Could you please tell me what´s the difference between these sentences ?

1- 

"Ben neyi aradigimi aslinda bilmiyorum" VS "Ben aradigim neyi aslinda bilmiyorum"

 these too,

2- 

"Beni sevdigini biliyorum" VS "Sevdigin beni bilmiyorum"

and finally, these

3- "Beni gitmek istiyor" VS "gitmem istiyor" 

Also, what does this two words sentence mean

"dedigi gibi"

I can give the answer for the last one and even though I might know the answer to rest I prefer to leave it to the natives.

I mean, i have read that the noun that is deacribed by the DIK suffix should go after it, for example

Oturduğum ev budur NOT Ev Oturduğum budur

Also

Ta ki doğduğnuz yere dönünce kadar NOT yere doğduğunuz

So why in the above sentences these rules don´t apply?

And how about these 

Söylediği sözleri beğeniyorum

Could it be put this way?

Sözleri söylediğini beğeniyorum

I understand what you mean. I will explain you shortly why it doesnt apply to your sentences.

1. "Ben aradigim neyi aslinda bilmiyorum"

Using "ne" is not correct here. Instead of it you should use "şey".

Ben aradığım şeyi aslında biliyorum.

Şey means thing. The problem with your sentence is you are trying to use "ne" as a noun in this sentence but you cant use it that way.

2- 

"Sevdigin beni bilmiyorum"

This is not correct because you cant use sevdiğin here as an adjactive. Why? Because ben must be the object of sevmek here. I dont know that you love me. You see me is object. Your sentence in English would sound like this "I dont know me who you love". It is meaningless in English too.

3-   "gitmem istiyorum" 

I said no difference before but now I notice that you wrote "gitmem". This is wrong. You are using a possesive suffix here. Gitmem literally means "my going". Your sentence means "I want my going". But you cant say this in Turkish. There are two verbs in this sentence "to go" and "to want". So one of them must be infinitive like in English. I want to go. Gitmek istiyorum.But in Turkish we say "my going is necessary(gitmem gerek)" or "my going is important (gitmem önemli)" In English instead of saying "my going is necessary", they say " It is important that I go" This is a difference between English and Turkish.

That was very informative, it has changed my understanding of the DIK suffix which obvously was incomplete. I was way off target.

So from what I´ve understood, 

Both the DIK suffixed and the main verbs have objects. 

In the sentence above, "beni sevdiğini" is the object of "biliyorum" just like in english.

So basing on my current understanding, to say :

Beni gördüğün yeri bilyorum.

Would be the Türkçe for:

I know the place where you saw me

Hopefully i got it right this time

I was meaning to say 

Sinemaya gitmem istiyor. I believe i saw this on a web site.

He/she wants me to go to cinema. Literally it means "He/she wants my going to cinema". "My going" can be used here. This i suffix makes the object accusative. The verb istemek wants object to be accusative here.

Now you can ask why we cant say "Sinemaya gitmemi istiyorum". My answer is I dont know. That is not the way we say it in Turkish. We say "Sinemaya gitmek istiyorum".

This is so much easier on my brain, makes perfect sense.

You´ve no idea how much I´ve struggled with the DIK suffix.

I have so many questions still, but I´ll save them for later  

Oh my Godness! Really! I´ve always thought that verbs with -me suffix are considered nouns... As there translation is ´my going´ which is a noun. 

Please correct me if I´m mistaken.

Benim gitmemi istiyor. (He wants me to go. / He wants that I go.)

This pattern depends on the -me/-ma suffix that one uses to make a verb a noun. But this -me/-ma suffix is not the negation for the verbs.

git me (go ing) ------> gitme (going)

git me m (possessive) ---------> gitmem (that I go (purely : my going))

git me m i(accusative)---------> gitmemi (that I go [in accusative] : (puraly: my going [in accusative])

Gitmemi istiyor. (He wants me to go. (purely: He wants my going.))

/Benim gitmemi istiyor.
