Merhaba! I just found the most beautiful song! It is "Pişman Olduğun Zaman," and this version is sung by Mabel Matiz. But I also see that it has been sung by Sezen Aksu. Can someone tell me who originated the song? Does it really belong to Sezen Aksu?

I have tried to translate the lyrics. I have done some guessing, so please correct me.

And below is a link to Mabel Matiz´s version of the song. So sad, so beautiful!

Pişman Olduğun Zaman -- When You Regret

yolun zorunu yürümüştüm ben tanıştığımız zaman -- I had walked a road of difficulties when we met.
sen dalgalanmaktaydın elvan elvan -- You were changing colors, many colors.
o yüzden tam olarak hissedemedin sen içimi -- For that reason you could not sense as fully my inner self.
hala kulağımda çınlıyor alaycı kahkahan -- Your loud laugh still rings derisively in my ears.

haberin yoktu henüz cilvesinden aşkın -- You had no knowledge yet of love´s vagaries.
sarsılmıyordun hiç ay tutulmasından -- You were not being shaken by any lunar eclipse.
o kadar taşkın, o kadar açtın ki; -- You were so greedy, so wild that
düşmen kaçınılmazdı arzın ortasından... -- Your falling was inevitable, from the middle of the earth ...

pişman olduğun zaman, -- When you regret,
zevke doyduğun zaman, -- When you are fed up with pleasure,
huzur bulduğun zaman, -- When you find peace,
dönebilirsin -- You can return.

ben yine burada olacağım, -- I will still be here,
yaralarını saracağım, -- I will bandage your wounds,
seni anlayacağım... -- I will understand you ...

Teşekkürler, gokuyum! Sezen Aksu versiyonu çok güzel ama Mabel Matiz versiyonunu tercih ederim. It is so simple yet atmospheric. And the harmonies are very interesting. That is why I wondered who had written this song.

I had thought that "Sahilde Bir Sarhoş" was a Teoman song, but then I discovered that Matiz had actually written it. Another great song, in either version:
