  •  Beklemek güzeldir güzelim Dönecekse eger beklenen.... Özlemek güzeldir güzelim Özlüyorsa eger özlenen..

I don´t really understand what the poesi above means. I would be very appreciated if someone could explain its meaning. Which part of grammar is used here in "beklenen" and "özlenen"? Thanks in advance

Translation by Foka is great.

The -en or -an ending on a verb means "the person who is doing the action" so

beklenen = the one who waits

özlenen = the one who is longing for/yearning for

You mean bekleyen and özleyen.

bekleyen = the one who waits

beklenen = the one who is waited (for)

özleyen = the one who misses

özlenen = the one who is missed

bekle-mek: to wait

bekle-n-mek: to be waited

example:

ütülenen elbiseleri tekrar ütüleme.

do not iron the clothes which were already ironed.
