Merhabalar! I have tried to translate another poem by Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu: "Uzun İnce Bir Yoldayım." I think this one is especially interesting because both Barış Manço and Fikret Kızılok created songs using its words. And their songs are very different, I think. In fact, I can´t decide which one I like better. I have included links for both, so tell me what you think. And please correct my translation. I had trouble especially with the fifth quatrain -- for instance, "derince." Is that the adjective (a little deep) or is it a verb form (while collecting). In the end, I just had to guess. More Turkish ambiguity. 

Oh, I also think that it is interesting that neither Barış nor Fikret used all the quatrains. They both used only the first, second and final quatrains. I wonder what that is about.
