I will sleep for an hour and then I will take Sara to school.

I think I would say

Bir saat uyuyacağım sonra Sara okula götüreceğim.

If you want to use -ip it should be used in the first word. I´m not sure if you can use it when you say ´then´ meaning ´after that´. The -ip suffix just means ´and´.

Like ´Uyuyup hiç uyanmamak istiyorum´ (I want to sleep and never get up).

-ip is a verbal adverb (zarf fiil) and called gerund, and used to chain the verbs together when one subject performs two or more actions one after another in the same sentence. From this aspect it may mean " and then"..

sinirlenip kalkmış

yiyip içip eğlendi

yatıp kalkıp dua et

gidip gidip bakıyor

etc..

hope it helps..
