I have rediscovered Teoman and fallen in love with "Paramparça." I´m listening to the version on his "Best of Teoman" album, which I think is better somehow than the original. Maybe a little more playful? A cleaner sound? (Maybe it is just the varying quality of the videos on YouTube.) Neyse, below is my translation attempt, with links to the song. ... As you´ll see in my translation, there were a couple of places where I made some guesses, in one case with a prompt from a forum discussion elsewhere (the barstool idea). Happy, as always, to hear your feedback. ... Teşekkürler!

Saatim yok -- I have no clock.
Tam olarak bilemem -- I cannot know exactly.
Biraz biraz -- A little, a little,
Biraz şarap önceydi -- It was a little wine ago.
Nasıl oluyor vakit bir türlü geçmezken -- How does time happen? While one type doesn´t pass,
Günler hayatlar geçiyor -- Days and lives do.

Kayıp bir bavul gibiyim havaalanında -- I am like a lost suitcase at the airport.
Ya da boş bir yüzme havuzu sonbaharda -- Or an empty swimming pool in the autumn.
Çok mu ayıp hala mutluluk istemek -- Is it so shameful to still want happiness?
Neyse zaten hiç halim yok -- Nevermind. In fact, I don´t have any solution.

Bugün benim doğum günüm -- Today is my birthday.
Hem sarhoşum hem yastayım -- I am both drunk and in mourning.
Bir partaburisi üstümde (bar taburesi üstünde?) -- On a barstool,

Babamın öldüğü yaştayım -- I am the age at which my father died.

Bugün benim doğum günüm -- Today is my birthday,
Kelimeler büyüyor ağzımdan -- The words spill from my mouth.
Bildiğim tüm hayatlar -- All the lives that I knew
Paramparça paramparça -- Smashed to bits, smashed to bits.

Takatim yok yine de telefona sarıldım -- I have no strength, but still I cling to the telephone
Son bir özür için -- For a final excuse
Tüm sevdiğim kadınlardan -- From all the women that I loved.
Aradım mesajlar çıktı kapattım -- I called, the messages came forth, I hung up.
Tele sekretere konuşamayanlardanım -- I´m not one of those who can speak to a telephone secretary (voice mail?)

Paramparça paramparça -- Smashed to bits, smashed to bits
Paramparça paramparça -- Smashed to bits, smashed to bits
Paramparça paramparça -- Smashed to bits, smashed to bits
Paramparça paramparça -- Smashed to bits, smashed to bits

Neyse zaten hiç halim yok -- Nevermind. In fact, I don´t have any solution.

hal=mood, state

Neyse zaten hiç halim yok -- I am not in that mood/state anyway; I don´t have the will/energy to do it anyway

tele secreter = voicemail
