Merhaba herkese
1. In English, in everyday conversation "you know" is used a lot. For example:
It´s very cold today, you know, and that´s why I´m late for the meeting.
I have been under so much stress in recent months, you know.
I can´t believe I am so tired, you know, after doing nothing at all all day.
Is there an equivalent in Turkish?
2. How would you say "As you know" and "well, as you know" in Turkish.
As you know, I will be going to Turkey next week.
As you know, I am very busy at work right now.
Well, as you know, Ali is a little afraid of flying.
Many thanks.

1. Not really. We use different exclamations in daily speech. Such as "ya" but still it´s not the same as "you know", you know
2. (Senin de) Bildiğin gibi, (Sizin de) bildiğiniz gibi (formal)

I thınk I have also heard people saying ("yani" or is it "yanı" ... not sure) at the end of their sentences. What do they mean, in this context?

Ah, Turkish filler words: yani, şey (thing), bak (look)
I think you can use these in place of well.., you know..., so...
I think you can use yani anytime but bak, is more to begin a sentence.
