Merhabalar! I have always loved the tinkly lead-in of "Bugün Bayram," which I think I first heard while watching "Adam Olacak Çocuk." I came across the full song recently and tried to translate the lyrics. Judging by the melody, I thought it would be a cheerful song, but the lyrics seem to be about missing a mother who is in heaven. Am I misunderstanding? Can you explain the song to me? Is there a specific holiday when deceased mothers are remembered? ... Her zamanki gibi çok teşekkür ederim.

İşte çevirim:

Sen gittin gideli -- You are gone. Since you´ve been gone,
İçimde öyle bir sızı var ki -- Inside me there is such an ache that
Yalnız sen anlarsın -- You alone understand.
Sen şimdi uzakta -- Now you are far away.
Cennette meleklerle -- In heaven with the angels.
Bizi düşler ağlarsın -- You imagine us and weep.

Bugün bayram -- Today is a holiday.
Erken kalkın çocuklar -- Get up early, children.
Giyelim en güzel giysileri -- Let´s put on the nicest clothes.
Elimizde taze kır çiçekleri -- In our hands, fresh wildflowers.
Üzmeyelim bugün annemizi -- Let´s not upset our mother today.

Sen yaz geceleri -- You are summer nights.
Yıldızlar içinden ara sıra -- You blink your eyes at us
Bize göz kırparsın -- Now and then from among the stars.
Sen soğuk günlerde -- On cold days, you are the warmest memory
Kalbimi ısıtan en sıcak anımsın -- That warms my heart.

Bugün bayram -- Today is a holiday.
Çabuk olun çocuklar -- Be quick, children.
Annemiz bugün bizi bekler -- Our mother waits for us today.
Bayramlarda hüzünlenir melekler -- On holidays, the angels become sad.
Gönül alır bu güzel çiçekler -- The heart receives these beautiful flowers.
