Selam

Could you please help me with translation:

-I haven´t been able to come.

-Could you tell me what have we done and what we have for homework?

And when I write e-mail,
how to write ´Dear teacher´?

Selam

Could you please help me with translation:

-I haven´t been able to come.

- Gelemedim.

(when used alone "gelemedim" sounds a bit harsh.. bugün gelemedim - bu hafta gelemedim - bu sabah gelemedim etc ... pick the suitable one)

-Could you tell me what have we done and what we have for homework?

- Hangi konular─▒ i┼čledi─čimizi ve ev ödevimizin ne oldu─čunu söyleyebilir misiniz?

And when I write e-mail,
how to write ´Dear teacher´?

You can say "Sevgili Ö─čretmenim" but if you want it to be formal you can say "merhaba ö─čretmenim" or (depending on the time you write it) "günayd─▒n ö─čretmenim" - "iyi ak┼čamlar ö─čretmenim"

You can say "gelememi┼čtim" only when you are not sure if the teacher was aware of your absence.

Replace "ben" with "bugün", "dün" etc..

* Bugün derse gelememi┼čtim

* Dün derse gelememi┼čtim

.. but if you are sure that the teacher was aware of your absence, prefer "gelemedim"

* Dün derse gelemedim

Ermm.. "hocam" sounds religious and almost all the teachers that I know, don´t like to be called so. Go with "ö─čretmenim."

"Say─▒n" makes it more formal than necessary.

If I were you, I would use "Merhaba Ö─čretmenim"
