My thoughts..Why are we subjected to such pain in the path of life? If love is so beautiful why does it cause such pain in the heart? Why, even though I can look at the stars and know he's beneath the same sky, can't I understand this situation? There must be a reason for everything that destiny unravels, I must have faith in the love I live by.

Everyone knows that saying "Oh-I-too-miss-you-all-much-and-thus-came-back" is nothing but an excuse! The fact is that you miss nothing but my whip itself-its sound, its traces, its violence, its giving pain! To be honest with you, my whip feels the same. It misses you much. So, my friend Aslan, welcome back to it!

Today, all day long, I thought, though didn't know why, how wise and well Nietzsche indicated a fact about women-

"You go to woman? Do not forget your whip!"

Today, all day long, I thought this, though didn't know why. I have tried to drive it out of my mind, hard as I have tried to, it didn't leave my mind; what is more, it has echoed in my mind all the time, all day long- "You go to woman? Do not forget your whip!" And I thought how wise he was, how wise he showed us a fact about women!

May I now get my two pennies, please?

Hahahaha! You are killing me Aslan! Hahahaha! will whip me for free, just for me, huh? Hahahahaha! Aslan, my dear friend, don't you still know whipping is my first and foremost profession? I am specialized in whipping, you should have known this from yourself. Just look at your body, see the whip-traces on it, and you will admit how much I am right!

IT IS NOT FAIR! ...we already took care of ourselves for the past couple of decades and see where it took us!!!

Yes, be sure we will never glimpse, espy or spot her again for she languishes in her cyber dungeon, lamenting her temerity. Her name is fated to be uttered in hushed whispers and will remain an example to all who yield to the temptations of mischievous deeds. Dear Madam Sine Nomine,

Please accept this post as an expression of my gratitude to you.

Madam Nomine,
This is the first time I have espied the word "espy" and learned it thanks to you. From now on I wish I often espy it. In a manner of speaking you taught me that word, and I am ready to be your slave for some 40 years, for you tought me a word. However I cannot guarentee that as your slave I will not spend 40 years without whipping you.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to provide my skills of whipping to you. I looking forward to your reply.

Yours faitfully,
Cyrano.

Dear Monsieur de Bergerac

I was enchanted to espy your missive and delighted to know that you have added "espy" to your burgeoning vocabulary. It is a pleasure to assist you and to introduce you to such wonderful, forgotten and ill used words, particulary in view of your alacrity in assisting in translations.

Notwithstanding, I feel a degree of compunction in continuing with this engaging and congenial correspondence, as am doubtful of it's universal interest in Off Topic and I am ever mindful of causing disgruntlement in these hallowed halls of earnest scholarship.

I must decline your kind offer of servage, tempting though it was, as I have no wish to subjugate you and moveover, no desire for another thrashing.

I am,
Your humble servant,

Dear Madam Sine Nomine,

By your leave would I love to sincerely thank you for your kind words. More than happy I am to read them.

Madam Nomine,
Such courteous, very very curteous, and polite are your words, please permit me Madam to utter, that your words as well as your language, but not you, did I fall in love, in spite of the fact that they are as beautiful as, as appealing as, as perfect as, as superb as and as blonde as you are. Such a superior language do you use, I must confess, that not even an iota of your words did I understand, which made me be filled with admiration for you. I therefore beg you, Madam, beg you to teach me your language, to teach me how to use words the way you do . Let me, Madam, let me be your slave for ever.

You are right. The car is ready and the driver in a great mood. Any suggestions about which THIS region should be?

“Envy is a symptom of lack of appreciation of our own uniqueness and self worth. Each of us has something to give that no one else has.”

Hahaha Funny as ever ha?

Well, I did get started.. and I went to see my doctor's to get vaccinated for Türkiye (Dutch organisations advice to getvaccinated if you go for a period longer than 3 months). So I was thinking I would just get ONE vaccine, as I needed Hepatite B.

Well I was WRONG. I needed a repetition of Difteria, Tetanus and Polio (one vaccine), one against Salmonella Typhi.. and the Hepatite B exists of THREE needles!! BLEH!

I'm filled with vaccines now! And the three B vaccines go with a month period in between.. so before I go another one.. and a month after arrival again!!

I wish I didn't get started today And tomorrow I'm going to my dentist.

Ohh I promise I'll do the windows while Elisa is ironing if only I could get away from the rain here too. And.. NO needles.

Feeling sad . It feels like all the good-will, friendship and respect we had for eachother on this site has been tainted these last few weeks. I didn't want to assume that is what you meant, so I asked for clarification. It seems you know English pretty well. So I just suggested you post something exciting, if you are bored.

Got up this morning feeling Got to work Started off busy and now :-S Oh boring. When I'm bored, I think about things, and these things get blown out of all proportion and I end up feeling like
So, my day started and now it's ... anyone got any good jokes? Rude or tame.... I'm not fussy

1000 lives would not be enough for me to explain how much I love him, I cannot fathom where the path of life will lead us but I hope that he'll be by my side until the end. I miss him, but I cannot always know his heart. All I can do is look at his photograph and thank god that I'm blessed to know this man, even though oceans separate us.

-Non stop chat and teasing with the co-workers (I miss that now that everybody is stuck on a pc screen)
-Endless games of solitaire (40 thieves was my favorite )
-Book reading (I was hiding them in the drawer when I was hearing somebody coming up the stairs)

We do that for the first two hours, between 9:00 and 11:00. Noone is allowed to go to his office, before all the gossip and teasing is done. But then, everybody sits in his armachair and gets lost in work or...internet. 6 hours of teasing and chatting are going wasted, since the internet entered out lifes

Ok, this just occured to me while getting my coffee. Not sure how it is in your country when your in a restaurant and order coffee. Well the individual creamers in the little round plastic containers are a bitch to get open. Like why don't they make the tab a little longer, so you can open the darn thing. Is it just me or does anyone else have this problem?

No there are many reasons. I think I will follow Deli-kizin's example. A lot of us love this site, and lately it feels like having your house trashed

Maybe not ruined completely yet, but it's very close to.

I'm thinking....
If mods and admins are busy and don't have time to spend on this site, why on earth don't they pass this job to members who would be able to "clean" this place up? We only need a big trash bin to throw a few memberships and a few threads or posts in.

OK, just a few examples of why people are upset here lately:-

Turkish Literature Forum - now contains numerous "personal" poems, which although very sweet, have nothing to do with Turkish Literature.

Turkey Forum - contains posts about whether or not you like to have a suntan.

Turkey - News and Announcements Forum - now contains posts which have nothing to do with Turkey, let alone news or announcements.

GENERALLY: Threads are being created all over the place, which have no general use. Even if you want a silly post in Off Topic, why not try to see if an existing thread already exists like "Two Pennies for your Thoughts" or "What made me smile today", or "I wish" - surely most of these posts could fit into these three categories? The forums are about sharing information, about sharing fun, about SHARING. If you post something about how happy you are with yourself today, for example, what can anyone else contribute to it??

The more threads you create, the less meaning and interest they have.

Just my opinion.....

Just a mere observation from coming to this site everyday in the last 9 months. There tends to be little tolerance and patience for people who post topics, opinions etc. I think we tend to take things too personally, myself included. Yes, people should follow the rules, however even when the mods were here daily they were not consistent. I don't like to see anyone's feelings hurt, whether they deserve it or not. Ok, Susan be realistic you can't always turn the other cheek. My gosh, but with so many different personalites and cultures your going to have disagreements etc. But I guess there is this thing called "tact". Some people aren't accustomed to. I just try not to take things so seriously, because when I get home and go to bed the last thing I want to do is dream about "Turkish Class. So I apologize ahead of time if I have offended you or insulted you. I really don't mean it as a personal attack. If you would get to know me from outside of the internet, I am a descent person. I happen to think and hope most of you are. I think we all have gotten carried away at one time or another. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making excuses for peoples behavior, actions etc here. But sometimes email and the internet can be destructive. Think about how many times at work you receive an email that set's you off. I have learned to respond later after I have given more thought to it. Typically, my response is alot different than if I responded right away. So maybe we could start doing that here. Just a suggestion to make this site more successful.

There is something else i've noticed, there is no much interest in learing the language as it used to be !

İ am not an old member too,i've joint 4 monthes ago,but things were different then.
People used to practice the language too,and others contributed for this purpose too.
Now,little who have interest in the language, and in practicing it too.

When was last time we used the Turkish practice Forum, and how often ?!

İt used to be realy a Turkish Language Class,
Now it's a Turkish language class alright, but with lack of both teachers and students !

I probably appear as the less tolerant person here. Believe me, I m more petient that you can imagine. Actually I m trying to be even more patient, since the beginning of summer when all this mess started. Im not entitled to save TC, I know. But I ve mentioned many times that I ve had too many good moments to remember from this site and so I would like it to continue. I tried many solutions. I stayed away for long. I ignored the forums except from one or two threads. Then I opened a thread, writing my complaints. Then again I shut my mouth up. And now, Im afraid I can't sut up anymore, or sit back and watch all this nonsense.

Read the posts in this page http://www.turkishclass.com/forumTitle_22_7547_8 and tell me what the heck they have to do with turkish movies! I have hundreds of similar examples to put here. And for heavens sake, I m not against fun. I looove fun. But let it be fun. Not a boring conversation that could be easily made in the chatroom. We have a chatroom after all, don't we??

A few months ago, I think it was last winter, Erdinc had blocked all members from writing in the cultural forums. We were protesting for months, begging him to give the forums back to us and we would use them as they deserved. I really wish Erdinc had never fulfilled our wish. At least they would be safe now...

Again, Sophie I'm not at all disputing your frustrations or concerns. I also agree this site has become less structured. How about we suggest incorporating an application process to all new members. They must fill out an application and pass a background & personality check. Also, you must be at least 18 years of age to join. lol Not sure how to handle the exsisting members though. Maybe a renewal application every 6 months. What ever the solution is, I don't know or have. Hopefully, however things do change because I would hate to see some of you leave.

Ok,i have an idea, but it won't work unless we all stick to it,
First,we do as Erdiç done before, and post a sticky in each Forum about this, and we may use tough accent as well for it,
We announce that,we won't contribute or share at any thread which is not in its right place,
And for any member who is new or old to stick to that,or else we won't contribute or share in anyone thread which doesn't follow the rules.
We just will shut our mouthes up,not answer, untill this member take the time and the effort, and post the request or the thread in its right place ..
How about that ?
But we must make announcement by this, and make a sticky too in each Forum
So can at least one of the Mods, help us with this ?
Or that too we will have to do ?!

What do you all think ?

In an ideal world this would work. But I don't want to be a pessimist and disregard it either. You put alot of thought into this Canli and I am willing to give this a try. I'm not sure how long it will last, but what the heck. Since, this was your idea why don't you send the admin a request here. If it would help even a petition you could start as a topic, then send it to the admin backing up the cause.

İ already sent to admin this thread link,so he can read that we are helpless here, but trying,

İ guess,or i don't know, but shouldn't admin, and Modes know what is going on here, that we don't need to gather things up to send to them ?
İ guess they follow things here too,but maybe a little busy to take an action right away, hoping they will do in a bit .

Btw,is it ok to discuss this on this thread ?

That's exactly what I was thinking when Teaschip asked for solutions. I know that it will be a hell of a job for the one who will offer to do it, but it would be the most useful thing for now. We have to "clean" all the forums except from the off topic and a maid is needed urgently!

Having read this thread - I have just had a good look around and found a few threads in 'Announcments' that need moving......however, I am not a mod on that forum so cannot move or delete them.

If you see any threads in the wrong place or that you think should be deleteing then please PM me the details. I check TC nearly everyday but rarely if ever look at some of the forums. I may not take the action you suggest but I will look!!!

We could start the first TC help organization. The most active 200 members of TC would save just $5 and transfer it into a TC account. We eventually would save some $1000 and thus would be able to get our beloved friend Cyrano a good computer together.

It is epitomised by strong, progressive bass lines overlaid with highly pronouced melodies with frequent key changes and finished by powerful, haunting vocals. Truely fabulous.

...when I lived in Peru the majority of swedes living there had someone cleaning and doing the laundry...so I gave it a try and ended up just like you said, so finally I said thank you but no thank you...I need to take care of my own stuff to feel good about myself... ...at the same time as it is sooooo boring! ...and for many years I had a wonderful husband that enjoyed cleaning more than I did...but good things don´t last, do they? ...so once again I am obliged to do the housework on my own...but in time my daughters will do their part! lol ...and I will not even pay them!

Thinking, while reading all these posts about Fener...
Do you all REALLY care about Fenerbahce or football in general? Or like my daughter, you keep yelling about a team, only because someone close to you is doing it?
Except from Aenigma and Joey who have proved their love for football, who else is really familiar with it?
And... why do I have the feeling that Fenerbahce is the team your husbands are supporting? ...................

As a very lazy person in learning languages, it never ceases to amaze me that our non-native English classmates can talk in English so well here while also learning Turkish.

Their posts tend to be more grammatically correct and articulate than the native English speakers!! I cannot begin to imagine how their brains can translate from their language, to English, to Turkish!!!

What clever people we have here! The ones who spring to mind are Elisa, Trudy, Aslan, Deli-Kizin, Sophie and Slavica! Aferin sana

Sophie, everything has an end. People come and go, they take what they need from here and when there's nothing else they can get, they go somewhere else. You can neither please everyone nor a single person indefinitely, that's a normal course of life. Don't expect everybody to be here forever, we need to grow and change. And also, there's never a single, simple reason why people do what they do. Those who know Joey, know why he left and that it wasn't a snap decision.

I feel I would like to reply to recent allegations that I am an "intolerant" "ignorant" racist.

I am very hurt by comments from Gavi and KeithL today and am debating whether to return to this site. Anyone who knows me well will know that I am a fervent believer in equal rights for ALL and have a deep respect for all religions - especially Islam.

However, I am also a feminist and have very strong views about sexism. To me, a child of 11 wearing a headscarf seems extreme and I commented on the fact. This does not make me anti-muslim or disrespectful, I was merely commenting on this one aspect of religious culture. I apologise if people found my comments offensive. I treat people in the way they treat me, and Gavi's very first response to me (and responses thereafter) were insulting and so my replies to her may have seemed harsh also.

You may call me opinionated, sarcastic and outspoken with pleasure. Never call me racist.

I never called you rascist. Nor have I ever called anyone here that. I just dont know what the big deal of a girl wearing a headscarf is. Unless parents are endangering their children, I think we need to let them parent the best they can. Its a hard enough job as it is. I apologize if I hurt your feelings. That wasnt the intenet.

I am thinking that it was nice to come here again, just to see how I got mentioned twice in the same thread

Sophie, I am not totally gone I am just tired of the useless offensive discussions that I used to join but now, living in another country which makes me both wonder about Turkey and Holland, I feel like I am the last one to comment on something. Having enough trouble to form an opinion about the way things are going in Turkey, reflecting them upon the way I was raised..
Once I get into university, some days will start to become monotone again and I think that at that day I will escape back to TC

Aenigma x, thanks for your compliment But now that English, which has always been my second language, has become my first language.. I see how much I dont know! It is amazing how hard it is to make a language your first one! But having more trouble with making Turkish my second one for just now

A useful comment for everybody - when you quote a message that contains a link at the end, make sure that you add one space between the end of the link and the end of the quote, otherwise the message will come out in a weird format, extending the borders of the post... I'm sure you've seen such messages here, so... try this!

No it is not poğaça and it doesnt taste like it either.. Poğaça is more like 'normal' bread hamuru, but boyoz is made of something like milföy/yufka. It also doesn't taste like börek (though you can buy boyoz filled with cheese, ıspanak), but Id rahter compare it to börek than poğaça

Its really filling. Actually Id mostly compare it to a round croissant, but then made of thinner layers and not sweet but salty I cant do better than this Come to İzmir, its sold in any fırıncı and gevrekçi. From the (small) gevrekçis you can actually buy them with a (hard)boiled egg and pepper.

"The first cut is the deepest", used to say Cat Stevens all of the time, when she used to prefer call him "Yusuf Islam" - insistently, insistently "Yusuf Islam", especailly sitting at her desk just in front of mine in the classroom. I just began to become an atheist in those days when we both were teenagers, and she used to derive proofs about Islam from saying insistently "Yusuf Islam", as if saying, "See, even Cat Stevens became a Muslim!" It was true that he became a Muslim, but for me, he would still say "the first cut is the deepest". That "first cut" always remained "the deepest", -how strange!- she completely covered herself and gave up listening to her "Yusuf Islam".

They say he had said for few who committed suicide after he became a muslim, "Instead, it would have been better if they, too, had become muslims", and I say "it would have been better if she had continued to listen to Cat Stevens instead of covering herself."

One of the most hurting actual facts must be the fact that you know you are a big NOTHING. NOTHING is thought or felt about you. You deserve, for example, anger, hate, hatred, insults or some hurting words. But NONE of these are said to or thought or felt about you. Because you mean and are NOTHING to them. And they know well the fact that they think or feel NOTHING, not even anger or hatred, about you is the biggest punishment and the most hurting case to you. To know, for example, you are hated indicates that you STILL mean SOMETHING to them.

It does hurt! That is hurting!

Cyrano... Aenigma...
longing for feelings is longing for pain... buddhist say...
but then again feelings mean life for so many of us...
maybe if you seek beyond feelings, towards what is more constant, pain, being just a feeling will disappear. Feelings are like the glory...and... sic transit gloria mundi ...
we live short lifes, so why expect memory to last long?
then again, too much pain can also be delightful to the soul... at least so thay say... an addiction.
in my opinion, cyrano solves the aenigma of 1 posts...

I am an atheist for more than 12 years, and since I became an unbeliever, for the first time in my life I wanted to believe in the existence of God on 19 July 2007. It is that day I understood very well that we tend to believe transcendental entites such as God when we are so desperate and weak.

"I do want to believe in God right now, I do want to pray for him, I do want to kneel and cry and cry and cry and cry and cry...

Please someone say to me, "Believe in God! Do it!"

Please... "

No one can do that except you!
İts called believing...and that is something coming from your inner, inside you.
No one can tell you to believe !

Well Canli, it was on 19 July that I did want to believe in God, but since then I have sometimes wanted to believe in God nevertheless. Would I really and honestly and wholeheartedly believe in God if I knew that she will forgive me? Don't know. But sometimes I said to myself if I am forgiven, I would believe in God. But I am afraid God doesn't work at all, because I am not forgiven and it seems I will never be forgiven.

pagliaccio,
İ guess you got this mixed up

There is God and there is people
So when you do something bad to God,as not obaying HİM for example,so you ask forgivness from GOd
İf you do something wrong to people, and that thing GOD doesnt approve on it of course, then so you'd be forgiven only when GOD and people forgive you.
You ask GOD to forgive you,and HE will forgive you as long as you really meant it,and you really regret it.
Then you ask people 'the one you hurt' to forgive you,and that is up to people themselves if they forgive you or not.
But you can always pray to God ,ask HİM to make them forgive you.

As we say,ALLAH can forgive what is HİS,but cant forgive what is NOT HİS.

Well said, Canlı. That's why God doesn't work. I would really and wholeheartedly wish God existed and worked, but sadly... sadly...

Quoting CANLI:

But you can always pray to God ,ask HİM to make them forgive you.

Then what is the point in praying to God if I am not forgiven? But nevertheless, -it is strange- I prayed to God and asked him to make her forgive me although I knew this didn't work and help me at all. That didn't work and help anyway.

pagliaccio,

God not a tool you use it to have what ever you want no matter what it is !
God is NOT an employee Haşa ALLAH,you order and HE carry on!

God gives you a choice, and gave her a choice too.
You used your choice and hurted her,and she also has the right to use her choice and forgive you or not !

God,why do you only think about your wishes and not the other side?
How about she ?!
Doesnt she have the right and the choice at least not to forgive the one who hurted her ?!
She didnt pay you back,i didnt see you posted something saying she get even,so how on earth would she calm down?
Or find peace if you took even her right not to forgive you ?!
Even for a while??!!!!

You know,in a material world pagliaccio,i can say you would NEVER be forgiven accourding to the things you said you did.
But in a world which i believe GOD is exist, then an extra ordinary thing can happen and she can forgive you!

ALLAH could make her find peace in forgiving you.

Well,im afraid God dont work that way!

You dont test GOD !

That is how it is.

well i disagree.
suppose sometimes somebody else tells you to believe... and it might happen exactly then that you will listen... if so, wouldn't it be just God's will? melting with our most inner longing (towards him)?

let us not be rigide...

I read a poeam once and it was about what if God would have to bear everything WE believe about him...

(Aside from religion) unfortunately the fact is that if you break a friend's trust or violate them, you can ask for forgiveness (and may even get it) but you can never expect to regain that friendship again. You cannot recapture the past, you can only accept that you did wrong and forgive yourself. Then move on...

It was on 19th July. I was (and still am) so desperate then. I did wish to be forgiven and asked God to make her forgive me. Obviously either God stands for her or God simply ignored my wish and prayers. All in all, nothing worked.

I repeat again Pagli, even if she forgives you, you are asking too much if you expect her to have the same kind of relationship with you again.

Do you think, aenigma, I could win back her trust and respect again? Is it impossible to win back someone's trust and respect again after losing/breaking them? It is possible? Would someone be able to win back, for example, your trust and respect again? Would someone not be?

Give her time,and space.

Pagli - all I will say is this. Just read your posts tonight. Are they about her? Are they about your concern for her feelings, the hurt you caused her? No! They are about you feeling very sorry for yourself. You don't believe you are any of the names you call yourself. You ask for "god" like a quick fix to her being your friend again, that's all. I am sorry if this sounds harsh.

I DON'T believe that once you have lost someone's trust and respect, that you can regain them. You can FORGIVE them, but you can never return your friendship to how it was before. YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT IT!

I want to confess my sin to everyone on the earth so that everyone, if not know already, should know how much bastard and asshole I am, so that everyone should detest me, so that I should feel more and more pain and suffer more and more, till I have enough of pain!

Is there now anyone who doesn't yet know that I am a REAL bastard and an asshole?

I see it is so easy, Aenigma, to say opposite things. Because you, including she, have just READ what I have written (not even all of them); but it is only me who EXPERINCE/LIVE such feelings.

"I have been suffering!"

Now you READ the above sentence. What have you felt/experinced?

Yes, it seems I am selfish. I am aware of this. But she hasn't given me any chance (not) to do anything differently; she doesn't allow me. I put myself in place of her, trying to understand her feelings/thoughts. What would I do or think or feel if I were in place of her? One point I am very sure about is that I would certainly allow him (namely "me") to explain things and/or himself even if I don't forgive him (namely "me"). I am sure about this point. Maybe apart from this point, I, too, would completely act/feel/think/do the way she does.

Unfortunately that's human relationships for you. She has no obligation to listen to you. Whatever it is that you have done, she has no obligation to talk to you ever again. You WANT her to, of course, because you are sad you lost a good friend, but there is NOTHING you can do MAKE her renew that friendship.

If you want my honest advice, it would be to leave her alone. Completely alone! Give her peace. Also, my advice is to forgive yourself and move on. The irony is, you will stand more chance of a future friendship from taking this action, than you will by calling yourself names and begging her to talk to you.

just a personal opinion... no offence, there are no buts... and if you disagree with her not allowing you to explain, to act differently, then you two have already a point of disagreement... And if she reads it, would she have the time to react now? Maybe no, because you are constantly reacting. Are you prepared for her reaction? If so, that means allowing her to react (even if it means a non-reaction). Probably she already got your message by now. It might be not that you doubt yourself, your faith, and character, but from a point on you risk to doubt her... it is complicated to give advice... maybe she read this and... if not, then maybe you, after a time, you... good fortune!

No doubt, what you said cannot be denied and are so true. But again saying these and becoming a part of these are different. I would say similar things for someone else who committed the same sin as mine. I mean, you are absolutely right. Furthermore, she herself, too, asked me to leave her alone several times. But again again again - To say "leave me alone" is the easiest thing for the speaker and hardest thing for the sinful person to carry out! Because here who deeply suffers and feels great/unbearable pain is exclusively the one who committed the sin, and strangely enough, who is expected to leave her alone.

So, how would you explain what I have done around here? You would explain my behaviours/actions as "disturbing her"? "Not leaving her intentionally"? Is it "disturbing her" or "not leaving her alone" that pushes me to despise myself and insult myself in front of everyone around here? Why have I spent a lot of time here by despising and insulting myself and begging her to forgive while I can in principle do different and useful things for myself such as learning one more new english word for my job? Why? Because I want to disturb her? Because I think I can win back her trust and respect by disturbing her and not leaving her alone?

Another point - why do I wish confess my sin to everyone while I, as a sinful person, would be supposed to avoid this? It must be me who doesn't want my sin to be known by anyone, musnt't it? And It musn't be me who confesses his sin to people, must it? There are tons of people who committed the same sin as mine but who act and continue to live as if they didn't commit any sin, as if they did nothing; why do I not simply act and continue to live my life like they do?

Very sad to hear about the death of Anita Roddick (founder of the Body Shop). She was an inspiration who proved that you can have a successful business AND be ethical. A wonderful pioneer for women, for human rights and for animal rights.

Even in retirement, she continued to fund charities and campaign for human rights causes.

How ironic that L'Oreal have bought the chain of shops since -a company who could not be more unethical if they tried ...
