Last year when I went to Turkia, we got a visa at the airport in exchange for a crisp £10 note......However, I have just been looking on this site:
http://www.tourismturkey.org/visa.htm
and it says all non-US citizens need to apply for a visa BEFORE entering Turkia.......
Can someone please tell me this is wrong!!!
Also, it is less than 12 months since I last visited Turkia - will I have to pay £10 again this year?

You don't need to apply for a visa before you go... same aas before... get your visa upon arrival at the airport ... just hand over your crisp £10 note... and the visa is yours

It's incorrect. My mother and sister haven't got a Dutch passport, so they entered Türkiye with their British ones. Because they come from Holland, they didn't have to pay in pounds, but had to pay €15,-.
And this was just a month ago, so I don't think they changed it
You do need to apply for a visa in advance if you're going to stay longer than the 3 months that you get from your multiple entry tourist visa.

Me too, I travelled there just one month ago too.... just handed over £10 for the visa upon entry.... of course you are right about the multiple entry visa... this must be applied for before you go.

No no, your holiday-visa is a multiple-entry one
If you want that to be longer than 3 months, than you must apply in advance.

Sometimes, do you ever wish you never got involved in a conversation ?
I'm starting to confuse myself now .... OK Pay £10 upon entry for your holiday (short stay) visa for a stay of 3 months or less. If you stay any longer than 3 months Bod, thats when you have to apply for your visa before you go
