Hi,
Has anyone been unable to travel recently had their flight cancelled or had to re-book. I have a ticket for September for my flight to Istanbul I have tried to find out information on how long I have to be at the airport before and what I can and cannot take on the plane

Hi ya... well all I know is what I have seen on the news...

All seems to be getting back to normal now...

baggage on board (hand luggage) can only be about size of a laptop and about 4 inches wide.

You can take your wallet, tickets etc.... BUT NO DRINKS
Pack camera / phone etc in suitcase.

I would get to the airport early if I were you.

Good luck

Hmmm I still think the above applies ... Although they are not being as paranoid now... but I still think it's best to stick to the restrictions to avoid any aggravation at the airport.

I don't know about there, but in Holland at Schiphol airport they created a system that you cán take drinks with you on board, but they must be bought in the 'See buy fly'-stores. You purchase it and then they take it for you in a special bag with your name/flight number on it. When you board, you get it back so that you can drink it in the plane, without having been able to put some explosive material in it while being in the see buy fly department.

But I think this is only a good idea for long flights where drinks are not inclusive. I always fly all-inclusive so then I don't need to take drinks with me on board. I'd also avoid any aggravation and just stick to the rules.
