A gap year in Turkey (Mainly Istanbul) ADVICE NEEDED

Ok guys... I've recently learnt that not only do I love Turkey, but I would like to be there as much as possible. In light of this, I'm thinking of taking a gap year in Turkey, and applying for University a year later than normal. It'd be good if people could offer me advice as to how I could actually make this work... you know like, is it possible for me to just stay in Istanbul for the year and renew my visa every three months? Are there opportunities to help with English teaching or something, perhaps even to assist me financially? I heard that alot of places in Turkey are desperate for native English speakers.

Thanks for any advice and help in advance.

Hell, I wish I could move to Turkey and stay there... but I have NO idea how I could do that without getting a citizenship (My mum's Turkish).

Don't get it..Why do you need a citizenship? You are half Turkish aren't you? Don't you have a Turkish birth certificate?

I think I only have a British birth certificate, born in England (I'm not sure how it all works).

I was talking to a guy in Alanya, and he was born in Turkey, moved to Holland, and now he's living in Turkey again, but he only has a Dutch passport..

In Holland you're not allowed to have 2 different passports, unless you already had them before they made this rule..

But maybe it's not thát difficult to get Turkish citizenship. It's harder to get out of the country than in the country I guess.. you can always ask deli_kizin (if she's not too busy ). She's got a visa for 1 year now.. but I can't tell you how she did it, because I didn't ask her yet
