I have a boyfriend who lives in turkey and i live in england . we have been together 6 months and i am due to see him again in october. he would love to come to england for the winter but has not much money to show the embassy for travel visa, i can afford to keep him whilst he is here but have no large amounts of money saved.
would it be easier for me to move to him?? although i do have 2 children .

also we would like to get married in october but i have looked into it and it seems they want a health certificate -- for what i am not sure .. and a cert. of no impediment..

can someone please please give me some advice???XXXXX

am beginning to think we can never be together

finally what we would like is for us to spend summer in turkey ,i work at local college in uk , so i have summer off and then winter in england.

sorry if all this is a bit jumbled up but all i want is to be with the person i love

hi daydreamer--- thank you for the welcome-- i think this is a great web site and it makes me realise i am not alone
i have read what you suggested-- i found it very full of mixed feelings. my man is 36 and i am 38 so i am no young girl!!!! i would love him just to have holiday visa as then we can have a 'trial' run at living in england. i must agree tough that many turkish men are total charmers -- i have a 18 yr old daughter nad they never left her alone!!!! i don't see how my man can really use me for a visa as i have no savings and i think that even if you marry it doesn't guarentee a visa.

anyway it is only 5 weeks and 3 days til i go back -- so wish me luck and i will let you know what happens ,,

thanks again for being here, elaine x

Hi,

You will need a full birth certificate to get your non impediment... take it to your local registry office and you can buy one there ... I think its about £41 Im not sure.

Its easy really

Merhaba to everyone. I am new on this forum and I like this relationship topic. I want to live in turkey but I also have 2 kids, so it is too much difficult.(but in my dreams not impossible).
I was there before 2 weeks for the first time and felt like I am at home.
I am in love in turkish people and culture for the last 12 years. The east and west cultures in one country - one city Istanbul.
Of course, I met my friend there after 6 mounths chating and he treated me like I am special. i feel like he is my best friend ever and missing him very very very much.
I am missing everything....Istanbul houses, streets, wind....and specially nice people there...
I hope that my dreams will become true....soon!
Nothing much, just that!
Bye,

Who knows? But they give us lots of Translation requests to work on. I'm sure there could be a book or a movie but how could it compete with these "real life" stories?

Well not to offend anyone but I think you have to look at the conditions under which many of them meet, it's not an environment where you typically see many turkish girls. Girls are typically also not players, if they decide to have a relationship with a foreigner it's with genuine intentions.
(These are just tendencies arkadaşlar, don't attack me please of course there are plenty of reverse situations as well)
With that said we have a wonderful example of turkish girl - english guy right here on the forum
