Quoting lady E:

Greetings to all!

I am interested in working and living in Turkey for
a few good reason, want to experience living in other country for a change and new experience, been wanting to continue my quest in Turkish civilizations, history and cuisines.

By living there I would personally learn first hand interaction, authentic turks and thier cultures. I know Turkey is a blend of multifaceted influence from different eras.

I dont know the extent yet on how women supposed to act in different social situations/occurences or strata. How deep rooted is Islam in this country, the rules and the different expectations. That would be something to considered as a way of respecting peoples culture. I can agree to some extent of the saying, if you want to go to Rome then be a Roman or shall I say If you want to go and live in Turkey then be Turkish...? Any suggestions...?

I was thinking maybe I can work as an English teacher in a private instution or teach private lessons to any individual or group who may need to sharpen up thier English writing/speaking/comprenhension skills (particularly in Izmir or Antalya areas)

I have a degree in English literature, and would love to teach children English conversation and creative writing. In my experiences normal children are quicker to learn new words/language than adults because thier brain are like a sponge it holds or grabs water and retains it better.

I would really appreciate a lot to hear suggestions from any one about living in Turkey.I been in Turkey years back on a holiday visiting Istanbul,Adana, and also visit family friends that was station in US Airforce Base in Encerlik .I always wanted to go back and prefer to explore Izmir and Antalya area. Thank you for taking time reading this message.

Sincerely,

Lady E

Hi,
As a male turk I am not the correct person to answer
But,maybe a direct approach can be more beneficial.
My mother was working in a private college, where they had turkish and american instructors. This school is located in İzmir, and below I am sending you their web site.
Gelisim English teachers

Also I am adding the web site of American college in İzmir, which was founded 125 years ago. This is a well established college.
ACI
I hope you can find some answers.
