Is anyone familiar with this song? Omer sent it, and asked me to please find it and listen.he said"how did I fall in love with you.. for you one song
write it, please find and listen...(sibel pamuk - alyazmalim / hýrsýz polis -
imkansýz aþk) I always think you and I oh..."

I was able to download it here:
http://www.hemenpaylas.com/download/411505/sibel_pamuk_-_alyazmalim.mp3.html

but cannot find the translation or even a translation of the word "alyazmalim" I tried pulling the suffix off, and and the prefix to get "yalmak" is that correct? I'm just trying to get the essence of what is being said here. I will continue to hunt the lyrics

thanks,
christine

Su gonlume ates dustu
Ne yapayim ne edeyim
Sensiz hayati neyleyim
Alli gelin telli gelin

Daglarinda kar olsaydim
Gelin sana yar olsaydim
Dag cicegim yaban gulum
Dalinda bulbul olsaydim

Allamislar pullamislar
Seni ele yollamislar
Canimdan canim almislar

Thank you Canli and Netzen,

It's actually the 1st one you put up canli. I'm listening now, and it really helps to read the lyrics and listen at the same time (pronunciation)

Now I will work on translating.

Thanks!
Christine

Ok,AL Yazmalım ....

Where does AL fit here ?

Yazmalım.. means i must write,

Al ..its from almak ,means take

Yw Christine,

Drawing your attention to something,it would help in understanding it,

gönlüme... means to my heart

gönül means heart, but when we add suffix to it with the vowel
İt turnes to be gönlüm, not gönülüm ,to make it easier in pronounciation,
Not only with gönül,there are some words are same too

Canli,

The separation of ‘ Al ‘ from yazmalim was a huge help.

Yazmak- to write
“Al” I would have never figured out Almak.

But, the rest I will work on. It is like a puzzle, and the more I force myself to figure it out, the more I will learn.

Your tip about gönlüme is much appreciated also!

Thank you,
Christine
