Hi,
I am going to live with my loved one in Istanbul next summer and wanted to find out about a work permit for her country, how do I go about this finding out the information and what I have to do to start work in Turkey as an Englishman. thankyou

actually its not hard to get a work permit..whn u go istanbul alrdy 3 month you can stay at there wthout wisa.. while you can go ask immgration coz this depend on you.. coz got so many kind of wisa fo live and work..

and they wont give you 1 year wisa first if your age not 25..if you are 24 you can get 6 month wisa first.. price i dunno how mch now.. and if you do your own business.. they ll give you 2 year wisa.(price dunno how mch now)
so better call turkish immgration to learn everytng..

if u go on the turkish consulate's website or type foreign workers in turkey this will give u all the information that u need.however u are restricted to certain types of work and if i remember correctly u have to have a job offer before you go..this is because foreigners can only be employed in certain positions apparently..a member called keithl may be able to give u more information on working in turkey although he is american so the visa process and price may be slightly different
