serious response:

It´s a cultural matter. In patriarchal societies men believe women are too vulnerable to look after themselves and feel the need to make sure they´re not harassed by other men. "I trust you, it´s the other men I don´t trust" is a popular sentence meaning "you´re too stupid to resist other guys"

psychoanalytical response:

Men with low self-esteem feel threatened by other men. Hence they try to contol everythign in their surrounding, including women.

off-topic style response:

They´re afraid of the competition on the market. It´s not wise to lose a good source of laptops and mobiles to another resort waiter.

I think a bit of jealousy is acceptable (although I hate it) but real jealousy is a bad sign in my opinion. In my experiences men only get jealous for two reasons.

1. They are totally cheating every chance they get. And they are afraid that their girl might just do exactly what they are doing.

2. They have been hurt in the past (by a cheating girl or otherwise), might have low-self esteem, and a really big fear of being hurt (again) by a cheating girl. They can´t let go of their past experiences and just get really really scared.

For the stereotypical dudu I guess number 1 is the main reason for jealousy.

Agree.

Lots of stinkers in Turkey still think that the more people you do the cooler you are. Especially if those people are foreign.

They protect their lover as long as they together because they don´t want to share, and they don´t want to loose their pride in front of their friends.

In the moment a couple gets separated, lovers are turning to "whores" or "losers" and everybody is off for the next round.

I have seen it too many times. Fortunately not too closely.

what?

what do you mean they dont want to share? {#emotions_dlg.eeek}

Can anyone shed any light on the fact that Turkish males seem to dislike each other? They seem to have no trust in each other, where women are concerned.....is it just with women or in other area´s too I wonder ???

We live in a world of looks. Survival of the fittest.

Turkish men have hairy eyebrows, nice and thick, usually meaning higher testie levels. THigher levels makes men aggressive and want to seem bad a$$.  This makes men dislike each other. (which this can lead to a major wrestling sport in Turkey why it was invented)

Woman like to be the best appearance wise, always, ever since the Egyptian times.

Men-appearance Woman-appearance

Or look it at this way, men and woman are animals.

Women only like the heavy eyebrows during their most fertile days of the month. The other days of the month (which is the majority) they prefer a guy who looks softer, and has a more caring look. This man would stay with them during the "caring" part of a babies life, and not only during the "making" part. This is all generally speaking, from research ofcourse
