Yes, it's stunning. You should also visit the place where Meriem is told to have died. It's very close to Efes, on a beautiful mountain. And don't forget to make a wish and tie a piece of cloth on the walls outside

By the way, I heard that this place was burnt this summer, and the fire stopped just before burning Meriem's house. Is that true??

The fires in the national park surrounding the house of the Virgin Mary happened in August whilst we were on holiday. Fortunately we visited the week before the fire but some friends went a week later and all the parkland surrounding it was burnt.

i visited there this summer,and i adore there.İt has really very magical and holy atmosphere.and its nice to be there wheres the very different cultures and beliefs meeting

I went to Ephesus in 2003, it was beautiful, totally fascinating and I hope to go there again one day. It's so amazing that people built such wondrous things and we can walk among that ancient place today.
