Behind the Eyüp Mosque, on top of the hill, is a small wooden building, typically oriental in its architecture and decoration. This is the café, named after the famous French writer Pierre Loti (1850 - 1913). The Pierre Loti Cafe is a peaceful place to enjoy the view of the Golden Horn having a traditional Turkish coffee or tea.
