Sapanca
Sapanca
Sapanca is a town and district of Sakarya Province in the Marmara region of Turkey. The town is located at Lake Sapanca, situated between the Gulf of İzmit and the Adapazari Meadow.

It is 120 kms away from Istanbul. It takes 1,5 hours to reach Sapanca taking the highway. With its round-the-year fresh air and green nature, Sapanca attracts visitors seeking a shelter from metropolitan anxiety and stress.

Sapanca was an important center during the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman times. Adapazari was a village of Sapanca in the 1700s but now Sapanca is subordinated to Adapazari.
