Sultanahmet Camii - Blue Mosque

Blue Mosque
Description: The Blue Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Istanbul, built during the reign of the Ottoman Empire. It's nickname "Blue Mosque" comes from the Iznik tiles used to decorate the inside walls. Iznik tiles are traditionally made with blue hues with decorations of wildflowers, tulips, geometric designs, and Arabic script. It is truely a sight to see if you come to this ancient city.
