You can look up translations at tureng.com

There are so many differences and it totally depends on the context you want to use them in.

Dönmek: to return to, to turn

Çevirmek: to translate, to circle

Follow me not the dictionaries

dön(mek) is a reflexive verb whereas çevir(mek) is transitive.

this means: the direct object of dön(mek) is the same as its subject.

For example, Dünya döner (the Earth rotates) but not Dünya çevirir.

çevirmek is transitive and always needs a direct object.

for example, direksiyonu çevir (turn the steering wheel) but not direksiyonu dön.

to make dön(mek) transitive the suffix -dür is added: döndür(mek)

direksiyonu çevir <=> direksiyonu döndür.

çevirmek = döndürmek

we say, "eve döndüm" (I returned home) but not "eve çevirdim"

we say, "yolun sonundan sola dön" (at the end of the road, turn left) but not "yolun sonundan sola çevir"

Hope it´s clear now. If not, please, feel free to ask for more info..
