Building Questions
Answer questions 1 - 14 based on the following text:

Unlike present continuous, in simple past tense the question suffix is added to the end. It is always written with one space in front.

 

singulars

1. Ben hızlı koştum mu?
2. Sen hızlı koştun mu?
3. O hızlı koştu mu?

plurals

1. Biz hızlı koştuk mu?
2. Siz hızlı koştunuz mu?
3. Onlar hızlı koştular mı?

 

It is important to use the correct person in an answer. If a question is in third person the answer will use the same person but if a question is in a first person, the answer will be in second person.

 

Did I run fast?, Yes, you did.

Ben hızlı koştum mu? Evet, sen hızlı koştun.

 

Did we run fast? Yes, you did.

Biz hızlı koştuk mu? Evet, siz hızlı koştunuz.


Smillarly, if a question is in a second person, the answer will be in first person.

 

Did you ran fast? Yes, I did.

Sen hızlı koştun mu? Evet, ben hızlı koştum.

 

Did you ran fast? Yes, we did.

Siz hızlı koştunuz mu? Evet, biz hızlı koştuk.
