Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.

* * * Here is a poem related to above subject:

"If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray to God, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would know I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away."

I hope this posting helps at least one person in the class.
Best Regards to All!

Here is one love quote I found in Turkish:

"Aşk bir deryadır dalmayan bilmez."

Until you experience love, it's a mystery.

I would like to share with you this short story:

"One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all
grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

The lesson to learn from this short story is to THINK POSITIVE and you will find the way. Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. Shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by thinking positive and never giving up!"

Regards,
Cruisins

Dear Classmates: I would like to share with you my favorite quotes about love. I hope you all benefit from these, even a little bit.
Best Regards to All!

“Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.' Mature love says 'I need you because I love you.'”

“Love is the immortal flow of energy that nourishes, extends and preserves. Its eternal goal is life.”

“When you're in love you never really know whether your elation comes from the qualities of the one you love, or if it attributes them to him; whether the light which surrounds him like a halo comes from you, from him, or from the meeting of your sparks.”

“When love is not madness, it is not love.”

“Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.”

“The best proof of love is trust.”

“Better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all”.

“Love is love's reward.”

“Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.”

“Nobody has ever measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold.”

“In love, the paradox occurs that two beings become one and yet remain two.”

“Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.”

“Love is a game that two can play and both win.”

“The heart sees what is invisible to the eye.”

“Love is not blind - it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less.”

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength; loving someone deeply gives you courage.”

“For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.”

“For you see, each day I love you more today, more than yesterday, and less than tomorrow.”

MY WISH FOR MY CHILDREN

We tried so very hard to make things better for our
children that I believe we made them worse.

IF I EVER GET MARRIED AND HAVE CHILDREN,
I WOULD LIKE THINGS TO BE BETTER FOR THEM.

I'd really like for them to know about hand-me-down
clothes and homemade ice cream and leftover
meat loaf sandwiches.
I really would!

I hope they learn humility by being humiliated,
and that they learn honesty by being cheated.

I hope they learn to make their own bed and mow
the lawn and wash the car.

And I really hope nobody gives them a brand new
car when they are sixteen.

It will be good if at least one time they can see
puppies born and their old dog put to sleep.

I hope they get a black eye fighting for
something they believe in.

I hope they have to share a bedroom with their
younger brother/sister. And it's all right if they
have to draw a line down the middle of the room,
but when he/she want to crawl under the covers
with them because they are scared, I hope they let him/her.

When they want to see a movie and their little
brother/sister wants to tag along, I hope they'll let
him/her.

I hope they have to walk uphill to school with
their friends and that they live in a town where they
can do it safely.

On rainy days when they have to catch a ride, I
hope they don't ask their driver to drop them two
blocks away so they won't be seen riding with
someone as uncool as their parents.

If they want a slingshot, I hope their Dad teaches
them how to make one instead of buying one.

I hope they learn to dig in the dirt and read
books.

I hope they learn to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers
in their head before they learn how to use computers.

I hope they get teased by their friends when they
have their first crush on a boy/girl.
And when they talk back to their
parents, that they learn what ivory soap tastes like.

May they skin their knee climbing a mountain, burn
their hand on a stove and stick their tongue on a
frozen flagpole.

I don't care if they try a beer once, but I hope
they don't like it. And if a friend offers them drugs
or controlled substance, I hope
they realize he/she is not their friend.

I sure hope they make time to sit on a porch with
their Grandma/Grandpa and go fishing or go out with their Uncle.

May they feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during
the holidays.

I hope their parents punish them when they throw a
baseball through their neighbor's window and that
their parents hugs them and kisses
them at Christmas time and when they give them a
plaster mold of their hand.

These things I wish for them: tough times and
disappointment, hard work and happiness. To me, it's
the only way to appreciate life.

Sometimes in life you find a special friend,
Someone who changes your life just by being part of it.

Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop.
Someone who makes you believe that there really is
good in the world.

Someone who convinces you that there really is an
open door just waiting for you to open it.

When you're down and the world seems dark and empty
Your friend lifts you up in spirit and makes that dark and
empty world suddenly seem bright and full.

Your friend gets you through the hard times, the sad
times, and the confused times.

Your friend holds your hand and tells you that
everything is going to be okay.

Your friend is an angel who lifts you up to your feet
when your wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

Your friend is someone you can sit on a porch
and swing with, never say a word, and then
walk away feeling like it was the best conversation
you've ever had.

And if you find such a friend, you feel happy and complete,
because you need not worry.

MAY I BE YOUR FRIEND?

MY INSTRUCTION ON LIFE

1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risks.

2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.

3. Follow the three Rs:
Respect for self,
Respect for others,
Responsibility for your actions

4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful
stroke of luck

5. Learn the rules and use it to your advantage.

6. Don’t let a little dispute ruin a great relationship.

7. When you’ve realized you made a mistake, take
immediate steps to correct it.

8. Spend some quality time alone regularly.

9. Be open to change/progress, but don’t let go of your values.

10. Remember silence is sometimes is the best answer.

11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think
back, you will be able to enjoy it a second time.

12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.

13. In disagreements with your loved ones, deal only with current current issue. Do not bring up the past.

14. Be gentle with the earth.

15. Once a year, go to someplace where you have never been before.

16. Remember that the best relationship is one in which other exceeds your need for each other.

17. Judge your success by what you had to give up to achieve it.

18. Approach love, singing, and dancing with reckless abandon.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
