Here is your chance to teach me the meaning of "real secularism".
Be sincere...come on !, say your piece !

PS: I will read you tomorrow...

secularism to accept everybody free to believe whatever they wish, and to put this diversity in same law pot,and keep this freedom with the objective rules by governing people with the scientific (unreligional) rules. So its one of the obligation of real democracies...

How does your definition differ from what I said ?

"There is no secularism, if civil laws of a society are shaped to serve the needs/orders of a religion."

Only if it is something you choose to wear, with no cultural or religious pressure

Even if I having an american vision and don't like the idea of having to wear a headscarf I wonder why this topic is in discussion as I see in my opinion people should wear whatever they like in every place and every situation

Perhaps you should think about what the headscarf represents in some societies before making such a nice, happy statement ...

The fact is some women may NOT where whatever they like in every place and every situation.

I agree. With regard to the headscarf, it should be up to the individual and the way they interpret the Qur'an. There will always be debate about interpretation, indeed there are many sites devoted to the different views, some of which are Muslimwomen wanting the choice. It is not the place of any individual to judge another for their choice in this matter. It is a matter between the individual believer and God. Unfortunately there are those who do enforce their view onto Muslim women (some are forced to wear the scarf and some are not allowed to wear the scarf).

Hark! I hear the sound of footsteps getting closer and closer.

Sure some of girls and women under big social, traditional, cultural or family pressure about their lifes,so they r not enough free while making choises about theirself or their future, but i think thats not enough reason for put general limits on their freedoms or to think all of em doin their choises only with the pressures.Law systems have to keep all freedoms till to last person in a soicety in objective criterias..
