Canal Istanbul project

The wish to change the direction of flowing waters or tamper coastlines are symptoms of a disease typical only to humans: megalomany. Josif Stalin wanted to turn the waters of River Volga, sheikh Mohamad ibn Rashid Al Maktum has changed the coastline of his desperate piece of desert into a patchwork quilt. The environmental impacts of this disease are enormous. This is what happens when you have too much riches and power and no culture.

Why Istanbul?

Birds in the sky are going to be confused.

You have been here since the times of Hz. Nuh, I wish you would learn how to use this website.

..

Fazil Say, Hürriyet Photo

The court handed down the sentence after finding Say guilty of "insulting religious values of a part of the population" for a series of provocative tweets that critics said had insulted Islam and Muslims. The pianist was not present in court during the sentencing.

Rubber Duck

http://edition.cnn.com/2013/05/02/travel/hong-kong-giant-duck/

The duck added a surreal touch to the city´s iconic skyline. No doubt those in the Central financial district found time in their busy days to post countless photos to social media taken from their high office perches.

We want to see it in Istanbul too.

Infact, I want one of these in my garden ..

Hey if we called it Turkey we would exhaust from explaining people we don´t mean that bird with a fleshy wattle hanging from the top of its beak.

But what sort fo creature is that?

An unfreathered hybrid cross-species animal? Half pork and a half pelican?

Justin Bieber abandons stage due to raining toys

..

Fans were throwing toys and scarves at the beloved singer as a show of appreciation, but the teen magnet decided he wanted no more of it, and abandoned the stage.

He stayed backstage and refused to come out until an announcement was made in Turkish, informing fans that the show would not go on until the toys stopped coming in.

Bieber then continued on with his show.

I read that girls throw  bras, knickers and even shoes to the stars, but it was the first time I heard head scarves thrown to them.
