How would you say to a friend:

´You must be so happy!´

My try as a learner:

Mutlu olmazsýn lazým

or

Mutlu olmalýsýn

What is the difference between the two?

Mutlu olmazsýn lazým- You have to be happy

Mutlu olmalýsýn- You must be happy

maz is negative

 But when you but Lazým or gerek you have to do it negative

For example: I must go- Ben gitmem lazým

really...?

Verb+me/ma+personal suffix+ lazým or gerek

Does it work when I´m not the implying that the person is currently unhappy:

´You must be SO happy´ as opposed to ´you MUST be happy´?

i was thinking about the same...

the meaning is completely different!

does anyone know?
