Ahh I wondered when you would come out of your Moddish silence Whats wrong Trudy? Me with an attitidue? Frankly if someone says "you dont know nothing because you dont work in that industry" and then refuses to continue the discussion, I would call THAT both "having and attitude" and arrogance!
Anyway - nice to see you have not changed ONE TINSY WINSY bit!
I only come out of my ´moddish´ silence as you call it, for people or posts who are worth my energy. (I hopefully don´t have to remind you that I didn´t do that for you before?)

You did nothing for me before actually - and let´s not get personal on posts eh? I am so glad you feel better after your sarcasm, but I feel insulted and so would like you deleted immediately under the "zero tolerance" policy

You are basically complaining about foreign doctors coming over and taking all the jobs - even though the government asked them to come here. I wonder if you include EU workers here too? You are also complaining that they trained here and then return to their own country because it looks nice on their CVs? Well good for them - they answered a call from the UK government and made use of it - you begrudge them that?

Not quoting any of the above I would just like to point out that the Highly Skilled Migrant worker programme no longer exists and it is now incorporated into Tier 1 of the points based system for those wishing to come to the UK to work from outside of the EEA countries. Some of the criteria for those wishing to enter the UK under Tier 1 are incredibly difficult to reach if that person is wishing to come from the third world country. The criteria is such that the person has to reach I think, 75 points which are made up from level of education (min Msc), level of salary (was £30k but I think it has increased lately) English language skills, money to support yourself. We are talking doctors, dentist etc. The criteria was recently made more difficult.

Yes I read about that LL. However, there are doctors who came here during the push for more staff at the request of the government. Also, in the European Union "situations vacant" column (!) the UK government are STILL asking for migrant workers in the NHS!
So basically we dont want any nasty dark coloured foreign doctors, just the nice EU white ones from wealthy countries!!

In view of the fact that in the past a number of TC ‘discussions’ have got completely out of hand and, in many cases, personal insults, abusive comments and bad language have destroyed the thread, we have decided to implement - and stick to - a zero tolerance policy. This means that any posts which, in the opinion of admin/mods, contain this type of language will be deleted without comment
