There was a topic in the translation board on how use of the suffix -leyin. And I remember reading it only a few days ago. I tried to do a search for it, so I could post to that one instead of making a new topic but not successful. It could only seem to find much older posts that didn´t answer my questions.

In the post that I had seen, I think the use of -leyin was to describe an event at a certain time of the day. sabahleyin, geceleyin, etc. I believe the first question I had has already been answered, from the use of "sabahleyin" in a post during my search, which was if -leyin is subject to vowel harmony. ı.e. depending on last vowel in root word. (geceleyin, sabahlayın) So my gues is that its always -leyin regardless of the last voewl?

The other question about this suffix is how is -leyin different than -de/-da. Or is it only used to describe an event at a certain time of day? Could you also use -de/-da for times of the day?

tarlaya sabahleyin gidiyorsun.

tarlaya sabahda gidiyorsun.

And here I am asking if -de can also be used in the same context. Or if its for only physical or implied locations like;

O bugün tarlada çalışıyor.

I suppose I just want clarification because I was told before that -de was to describe "in, at, or on" which I thought included time of day.

The next question, and related? Example; you can use "gündüz" to say "daytime" but the question, is -düz a suffix? Could you use it to say "night time" also? Or how does that work?

also thought of another one day, but will make another topic because its unrelatedSmile

-düz is a dead suffix now (at least in the Western Turkish Language) and it´s better not to include it in the list of the Turkish suffixes.

-leyin used for the periods of a day/times of day (for example, sabahleyin - morning time)

The others are: öğleyin, akşamleyin; gündüzleyin, geceleyin.

You can use the word vakti instead of the suffix -leyin:

öğle(n) vakti, akşam vakti, gündüz vakti, gece vakti.

-de (so far as I remember) only appears in öğlede/öğlende.

Öğleyin, öğle(n) vakti and öğle(n)de have exactly the same meaning and they are interchangeable.
