Merhaba sevgili arkadaşlarim

I am having difficulties with the accusative case. I read Lewis´s Grammar and have come up with these sentences in order to get an understanding of the accusative case. I would appreciate some help on when I can use this case and how you learnt to apply this case correctly to nouns.

MY examples:

:   

1.       Yeşil elmayı yedım. 

2.       Yağmur günleri salyangozler aramayağcım. 

3.       Masmavı rengi sana çok yakışiyor 

4.       Mardin’i  arabadan gezdik.

5.       Mardin şehiri’yi arabadan gezdik.

6.       Truvalı Helen güzel kadındır.  

7.       Başbakanı bebeği öptü. 

8.       Sapsari bisikleti kırıldı. 

9.       Bügün havayı çok iyidir.

10.   Dedemin sağlıği günden güne bozuluyor.

11.   Kapısında bir çok meşuri adam bekliyor.

There are only 4 accusative words here. Can you find them, suzanne2013?

Belki elmayı, sağlığı, yağmurlu ve Mardin´i? Bunu doğru mı? Ne düşünüyorsunuz?

My try: elmayı,  şehiri (not şehrini),  bebeği,  sağlığı

I have marked in red the 4 that I consider have accusative markings

Mardin şehri [şehir+i] (Mardin´s city) note that the first ´i´ is dropped once a vowel is added. This happens to some nouns, and they are called apocopating nouns.

The accusative suffix is then added using the special ´n´ buffer letter, used only after the 3rd person singular possessed suffix [şehri + n + i = şehrini]

Dedemin sağlığı (my grandfather´s health) is a genitive construction
