The Suffix Rule.

     If the last vowel of the word is e or i , the vowel in the suffix will be i.

     If the last vowel of the word is a or ı, the vowel in the suffix will be ı.

     If the last vowel of the word is o or u, the vowel in the suffix will be u.

     If the last vowel of the word is ö or ü, the vowel in the suffix will be ü.

If the word ens with a vowel and the syffix starts with a vowel, too, you are supposed to put ‘y’ between them.

Ben   üzgünüm.                            Ben mutlu-y-um                             Ben hasta-y-ım

Sen    üzgünsün.                          Sen mutlu-sun                                Sen hasta-sın

Biz     üzgünüz.                            Biz mutlu-y-uz                                Biz hasta-y-ız

Siz      üzgünsünüz.                      Siz mutlu-sunuz                             Siz hasta-sınız

Onlar  üzgünler.                           Onlat mutlu-lar                              Onlar hasta-lar
