Gençturk, I once learned that şu means ´that´ for something you can see but cannot touch and o means ´that´ for something you cannot see and cannot touch. Is that a correct difference for both times ´that´ between şu and o?
Ex.: Like in ´that car I parked opposite of the street´ and ´that car I have left in Ankara (while being in Istanbul´.
you can see the "O"
I will give you a simple example:
-Ali, Şu kalem senin mi? Ali, is That pen yours?
-Bu mu? is this one?
-Hayır, O değil, Şu. No, not that, that one.
Basic differents between "O" and "Şu" you cannot use "Şu" or "Bu" for something you couldnt see. You should use "O" for something you couldnt see. I hope it helps.
