-dik when added to a verb stem makes a participle.
bil-mek -- know
bil-dik -- known
It almost always is followed by a possessive suffix:
bil-diğ-im -- lit. my known but means something that/which is known to me
bildiğim konular -- the subjects that are known to me
okuduğum kitap -- the book that is (being) read by me (IOW The book I read)
geldiğim yer -- the place that has been come to by me (IOW where I have come)
dediğim sözler -- the words that are said by me (IOW the words I say)
etc.

This suffixes mostly used for making up relative clauses.
Aldığın kitap bu mu?
Is this the book you bought?
Its function is to be an adjective.
OR sub-sentences:
Bildiğini biliyorum.
I know that you know.

The -dik suffix seems to come up in posts alot.
And I know that really struggle with this suffix......
Perhaps a lesson in the 'Learn Turkish' section would be helpful - especially as it has been explained a few times so the material is probably already written. Does this sound like a good plan???
