Please can someone help me with another translation please??

"Hi this is my phone, the other number is my work phone and I don't want to get into trouble for texting Turkey on it. You can text me on either number, that's if you're still talking to me!! hee hee"

Can I sure "text" is an verb? I am confused!!

Sorry maybe if I replaced the word "text" with "message" or "sending message"??
