I am studying the Question Sentences portion here on TC...
In the question: Ahmet nereye gitti? ...there is not an example answer...like Ahmet eve gitti. Or is the answer the same as 'Ahmet eve gidiyor' as in the answer example
for the previous question "Nere Ahmet gidiyor?

Ahmet could go anywhere!
The bottom line is that with a lot of direction verbs (like gitmek, gelmek..) you have to use the dative case. So yes, it would be "Ahmet eve gitti" for example.
But also:
* Ahmet okula gitti - Ahmet went to school
* Ahmet pazara gitti - Ahmet went to the market
and so on...
When you look at the infinitive of a verb in a dictionary, you often see "/a/". This means that objects of this verb take a dative case.
(suffix can be /e/ as well according to the vowel harmony)

I am not quite clear which is your question, but....
Nereye gidiyorsun?= where are you going?
anneme gidiyorum. = I'm going to my mother
nereye gitin?= where did you go?
koye gittim.= I went to the village
nereye gideceksin?= where will you go?
turkiye'ye gidecegim.= I will go to turkey
