Ok. I am a Reiki practitioner and as well as using Reiki for healing it can be used to send positive energy to situations so every moment I remember I will send Reiki to you and your friend!

Lots and lots and lots of good luck. Make sure you let us know how it goes.

My bf took his application yesterday. I told him about the problems you'd had and how long it's taking and he couldn't believe it!

All the best
Babs x

PS I also told him my bra size!!!!

Hi Lyndie

I've read all your essays regarding your friend's Visa application/appeal and was worried about my bf's application for a 2 month visit.

I've heard allsorts of other bad things too so we were both worried and, to be honest, we both thought it would be a waste of time but at least he was prepared to try. I just told him to keep calm, be honest and listen to how they translate what he's saying to ensure it's correct! Anyway, after all the sleepless nights and worrying, he breezed through it. He sent his forms/docs/info, which they received on 14 Nov, he had an interview on 13/12 and, you'll never believe this, he got his Visa and will be here on Saturday 17/12!

I really feel for you and everything you've had to go through and by no means want to make it sound as if it's easy but I just thought I'd let you know that we were a 'success' story. Obviously, we got them on a good day!!!

I still find it hard to believe everything they've put you through. Have you decided whether you're going to fight their appeal decision? If so, I wish you lots of luck and will be keeping up to date with your essays.

Take care
Babs x

Babs, thanks for your story. It is heartwarming to hear of a success, when all you hear are failures. Like I said the key to success is that they believe you will return. I guess your bf has a 'proper' job to return to and that they believed him.
I am very happy for you, it must be so wonderful waiting for him to arrive. I don't have to wish you luck because I am quite sure you will have the most wonderful time.
BRAVO!

Hi Lyndie

Thanks for your message. I meant to say in my previous one that my bf doesn't have his own business or house to go back to and when he returns he'll be going back to his usual type of job - tourism! I guess we broke all the rules!!!!!

Regards
Babs x
