As far as I can see the available moderators can't be online enough to moderate the site. Some forums sometimes turn out be a mess; off-topic threads take place on the other forums, screams of desperate girls for translations are every where and so on... I think some new moderators should be appointed among those who are frequently online and willing to do the work.

Have I posted to the right forum

KeithL also raised the issue of the entirely out of proportion translation requests. He took it one step further and wrote to the site administration. I think all concerns should be sent to them directly as they are not always available to read forum posts.

On a personal note...I am getting really tired of seeing the same people asking for translation requests multiple times in a day. It's as if they post every time they get a SMS or we are there next to them while they chat on-line. No, I don't have to read them. But just looking at the forum titles lets us know their content. Maybe people should stop translating them so frequently. Or maybe these people should realize the ridiculous situation of trying to have a relationship that is completely dependent on the communication skills of another party. It's so illogical and in the words of KeithL totally "illusional"!

Ok...I know that was a tangent. But I had to get that off my chest.

When I asked Admin to do something about the huge and absurd amount of (love) translation questions, he wrote to me that he thought it is a good idea. He said he would start to do something about it after Thanksgiving. That was last week, so I think he is busy with other things regarding nothing has changed yet. We should be patient a bit more, maybe?

I think there is nothing wrong with such translation posts as long as they are posted to the right forum. That's the translation forum.

I agree to the extent that they can post them. But they should have their own place. So that the rest of us who could care less about whether the guy they met on holiday is sleeping with somebody else, broke, or why are you angry baby?, I love you and why haven't you sent me a message, stuff don't have to be subjected to it!

While I can certainly appreciate what it must be like to not speak the language of your loved one, the discussion all comes down to the same thing...which is basically too many people are taking the easy route and not even trying to learn the language. To those I would just like to say...remember, this site is called TurkishCLASS.

I think theres alot of us sick of seing the same stuff over and over again. However this is a free online trnaslation forum.....and i t certainly doesn't say no sms/txts .... think we ought to chill out a little and just not translate it if we are that bothered!
p.s...i don't ask for sms to be translated for myself ever!

I hate seeing the one worders, that if you double click on them the meaning comes up......arghhhhhhhhh pointless

Anway as I was saying I am on here a lot of the time and I don't mind committing my time to be an administrator, so you are welcome to give my name to Fatih (aka Admin) if you are considering to write to him
