Winter Mother
One there was an old woman who lived alone with her two daughters. Of the woman's two daughters, one was beautiful and the other was lazy. But the woman loved her ugly and lazy daughter more.
The beautiful daughter did all the housework, and worked weaving on a loom to earn mone. One day to she went by the well to do her weaving and the sister pushed her inHer mother wanted to get her out of the well, and while trying to, fell in herself and fainted. When she opened her eyes she was in a field. In front of her was an oven. The bread in the oven were yelling "Get us out quickly before we burn". The girl saved the bread and continued on her journey. An apple tree appeared in front of her. She wanted to pick all the apples off of the tree. The girl picked all the apples and saw a shed ahead. In the shed there lived an old woman.
Is this a real kid's story? Who's the author and is it well known. I really need this for a translation class.
Do you know of any easy turkish poetry as well.
