i don't know what first sentence i would like to hear......But i know that a first i wouldn't want to hear is " will you marry me", " i love you " .. I hear it all too often in an opening conversation, and boys it doersnt work as a chat up line in my eyes. just makes you look desperate.

It depends really if you know them or not. For example, if they were your partner "I love you" is always nice to here but if they are a complete stranger then I reccommend not saying that lol

I like just to have nice conversations with friends (oppositie sex), just to talk about everything and anything is nice to do, then it may go further but who knows (though this is with friends, not strangers)

To someone you hardly know "I love you" "will you marry me" "will you be with me" and endless lines such as those will not get you anywhere with a girl lol
