Quoting Deniz Kız:

Azade, as far as I discovered recently (unfortunately, I needed to do this) in turkish army they are not allowed to have mobile telephones at least first 2 months. I faced to this situation. So, how you deal with this?

I know they are only allowed to use the campus phones. My husband calls use those phones all the time but sometimes too many people are waiting to use them and we can't really talk. To solve this I actually wake up about 4 am so he can call in peace.
It's pathetic that you have to go through something like this just to be able to talk.
But I must admit it's better than expected. I thought they wouldn't even allow him to call the first months and we'd have to send letters back and forth. Surprisingly he's not allowed to give me the campus address!

I don't get this army deal.... it's inhumane. So far two people committed suicide (in just one month!) where my husband is stationed.

What about you?

Azade, thanx for your answer.
Speaking generally I agree with you completely. This system is inhumane. And you impressed me with this info about suicide. Terrible!!!!
Also I am amased that they are not allowed your husband to give campus address. Strange.
Talking about me..As I said before, unfortunately I needed to discover all this. I wish I wouldn't need this. The point is that we broke up. Some time passed and I just called him to say how much he hurt me. And only in this way I found out that he doesn't have tel.now. He left to army. He could tell me this before. But he never did. So, still I feel how much he hurt me but I even don't have possibility to say all this to him...
I'm glad to hear that your story is so nice and full of love. It's great that you keep in touch all the time.
Wish you all the best from all my heart!
