'Benim adım Mehmet' means 'my name is Mehmet'. I know. But what does 'benim adım da Mehmet' mean? When do you use that word 'da'?

Quoting Ayla:

da= also, too
"my name is Mehmet too"

Can't it be something like "when it comes to my name, that's Mehmet" in this case?
Like:

"Benim adım Elisa"
"Benim adım da Mehmet"

I think (hope) so. It is a sentence in my exercise book. The first persons name is Bülent, the second Mehmet. So the 'too' looks strange...
