2. Superlatives
Superlatives are also straightforward in Turkish, like it is in English. Instead of 'the most', you use 'en', and all superlatives are constructed using this word.

the fastest --> en hızlı

slower --> en yavaş

the most intelligent --> en zeki

the most hardworking --> en çalışkan

the most beautiful --> en güzel

Now, let's see how the superlative form of an adjective is used in sentences.

I am beautiful. --> (Ben) güzelim.

I am more beautiful. --> (Ben) daha güzelim.

When you want to use the superlative form in a sentence, there are two different cases:

I am the most beautiful. --> (Ben) en güzelim. (This has the meaning of describing yourself, like an answer to the question "What are your traits?")

I am the most beautiful. --> En güzel benim. (This has the meaning of the answer to the question "Who is the most beautiful?")

I am the most beautiful girl. --> En güzel kız benim.

I am the most beautiful girl in this class. --> Bu sınıftaki en güzel kız benim.

You are the most beautiful girl in this class. --> Bu sınıftaki en güzel kız sensin.

She is the most beautiful girl in this class. --> Bu sınıftaki en güzel kız o.

this a part of degrees of adj's section.
if anyone who is able to explain the two different cases of superlatives i will so thankful.
and another question is that in the sentence of:
She is the most beautiful girl in this class. --> Bu sınıftaki en güzel kız o.
ki should be kı by following vowel harmony so was it an exeption or just a writing mistake?
thanks alot.

Even though 'güzel' is an adjective,if you put '-im,-ın,um,-sin etc..' it becomes a noun

normally güzel-im means 'güzel kız-ım' or 'güzel insan-ım' etc.. you can say whatever you want.

But we drop 'insan and kız' while we are talking and we just put '-ım,-ın'

So.. Ben en güzelim means i am the most beautiful(one,girl,person...)

En güzel benim = it is me who is the most beautiful

Hope it makes sense

And 'ki' is an exception. The vowel harmony isn't valid for it

You have to say 'ki' on everywhere

Comparative Yaparken(Karşılaştırma)

a- Sıfatların sonuna '-er' than ya da

b- Bazı sıfatların başına more(daha çok)/less(daha az) than getirilir.

Örnekler

long-longer (uzun-daha uzun)

short-shorter (kısa-daha kısa)

beautiful-more beautiful (güzel-daha güzel)

A bear is big. (Ayı büyük)

A camel is bigger than a bear. (Deve ayıdan daha büyük)

Superlative Yaparken (Üstünlük)

a- Sıftların sonuna 'est' ya da

b- Bazı sıfatların başına the most/the least getirilir.

Örnekler

long-the longest (uzun-en uzun)

short-shortest (kısa-en kısa)

the most beautiful-en güzel

the least beautiful-en az güzel

In these comparative forms is the word order important or is it just the dative and ablative suffixes???

For example:
Ayıdan Deve daha büyük - doğru mu, yanlış mı?

well, though it sounds weird, it's still acceptable for me.
