I have been looking at that site, but I have no idea how to pronounce these words. Would you recommend a good book and CD that I can buy in the UK or on Amazon?

Turkish is very easy to pronounce,you just read exactly same as you write.
Each word with its exact letters,only you have to know the pronounciation of the letters.
