"Allah birdir...Muhammed s.a.v. onun resuludur!"
Could you please let me know what does s.a.v. abbreviation stand for?

just a guess but, i see this in english P.B.U.H when ever someone talks about Muhammad the prophet, so its probably the turkish equivelent of peace be upon him.......

On some Islam-sites I saw the (Dutch) text "Jezus (vzmh)" and I never knew what that meant. Now I know, thanks to your explanation, exactly the same.
