Im using Roseta Stone Software to learn some turkish before i go to Istanbul to visit Family 
Balik Beyaz mi?
Evet, o Beyaz
Now i know what they r saying
is the fish white?
yes the fish is white....
Balik(FIsh) beyaz(white) whats (mi ?)
Whats EVET, O?

i pm'd you back on that, maybe someone will give you a better answere  an example goes like this... to say Has Mehmet come? Mehmet geldi mi? (gelmek=verb to come) mi makes it the question

Evet = Yes
(you can also say yes wıth 'Olur')
O = personal pronoun 3rd person sıngular he/she / ıt
(turkısh has no gender)
O also ıs a demostratıve pronoun = ' that'
for example
' O araba kırmızı ' = THAT car ıs red
' BU araba kırmızı' = THIS car ıs red
Mİ ıs the 'questıon marker' ın turkısh and ıt ıs used for YES / NO questıons ONLY . It has 4 forms =
'mı/mi/mu/mü ' you chose ıt accordıng to VOWEL HARMONY
For example:
'doğru MU?'= ıs ır rıght? (MU because 'doğru ' ends ın U VOWEL
'Pahalı MI?' = ıs ıt expensıve? (MI in thıs case because PAHALI ends ın I !!
