My attempt would be:

Could anyone help me out and correct my mistakes, please?

Oh thank you for your quick reply!
How is "idi" formed? I have seen it before but it really puzzles me and I can't use it in sentence structure.

we add "idi" in past tenses, sometimes we joins "idi" to the words and it becomes "di, dı, du, dü, tı, ti, tu, tü".
we say "idi" if the verb ends with a vowel, but we can join it also to the words by "ydi".
let me give an example:
he was good = o iyi idi = o iyiydi

So it becomes "idi" as stand-alone because you can't put a past tense after YTL?
I hope I'm getting the point

You are right, YTL is not a verb, it is just a noun (shortened words are also noun). If it was a verb and if it ended with a vowel, we would use it like XXXydi.

Thank you for the explanation, I really appreciate it Hopefully I'll never make this mistake again.
